C5 Capital Congratulates Axiom Space on Successful Ax-3 Mission to ISS

C5 Capital proudly congratulates its portfolio company Axiom Space on the successful launch and splashdown of their third private mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

Aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) successfully docked at the ISS on January 20, 2024. They joined the Expedition 70 crewmembers, spending 17 days docked to the ISS, culminating in the successful splashdown off the coast of Florida on 9 February.

The Ax-3 crew, composed of European astronauts Commander Michael López-Alegría, Pilot Walter Villadei, Mission Specialist Alper Gezeravcı, and Mission Specialist Marcus Wandt, embarked on this historic journey to conduct an array of over 30 experiments, spanning various fields of biology and technology, and participated in over 50 outreach engagements. Their work will contribute to advancements in microgravity research, technology demonstrations, and various scientific studies.


As the first all-European commercial astronaut mission to the ISS, Ax-3 exemplifies the power of international collaboration in space exploration and signifies the unity that transcends borders and connects humanity through the pursuit of scientific knowledge.
